went to exchange my Illinois license to a Wisconsin, a task that should be fairly painless and quick. I was in line for only a short time until I was called to the desk. The young lady asked for all my information which I already had ready. The young lady was terribly rude, stating that I have had unpaid fines in Arizona, a state which I haven't lived in for over 4 years. I informed her that there must be a mistake. She then told me "I don't care, you'll figure it out". Not only rude to me, but a gentleman needed change for a fee, because he was paying with cash, the young women at the desk would not make him change. The gentleman at the desk was mean to an elderly women who was trying to renew her license as well. I was only in the DMV for about 45 minutes and these employees were horrible, being mean and disrespectful to every person who stepped up to the counter. The whole government system is corrupt, squeezing ever dollar were they can get it.
The lines wouldn't be so long if they had better hours. Nobody is awake on Mondays so everyone shows up on Wednesdays, and the line often extends out the entrance. I think they need more employees and to be open far more often. This way, lines would seldom happen in the first place, and business wouldn't be so rushed for the workers behind the desk; thereby making them happier and less crabby when it comes to dealing with customers.
Terrible services, been on lie for almost an hour and the line still hasn't moved.
This place really needs to be fixed. Here's my story: I needed to renew my driver's permit, and wanted to know what I needed in advance. So, I called their number and they told me to bring $35 and my old license.
I later showed up with the required items, and it was after waiting in line for half an hour that I was told I needed a specific paper signed by my driving instructor. Why couldn't they have just said that on the phone call previously, so I wouldn't have to waste an hour of my time going over to the DMV?
