The size is small but most of the animals had some pretty nice enclosures. If you visit Baraboo, make sure to check out the FREE zoo and leave a donation.
Its a nice little get away from home and spending time with the family. Its also nice that there is a park for the kids to play at. We enjoyed it very much.
Who would guess such a great park and zoo is free. And they offer great, fun activities too! Concession available too at a fraction of big zoos. Can complete the entire zoo in thirty minutes. Not painful to see the animals here as it is in other zoos. Enclosures are very spacious and animals look very well cared for.
This is a quick visit, but still worth checking out. Free admission with donation boxes out and you'll probably spend 30 minutes here or less. The animals were on and off active, I went and then left and walked around the river, and on my way to my car walked back through the zoo and different animals were active that time around.
Though my favorite zoo will always be Henry Vilas Zoo, in Madison Wisconsin, I was happy to visit this one and plan to make this a regular place I visit when in the area.
Very cute, free zoo. Animals took to visitors very well, fun little place. Wish the feed areas had better signing indicating which animals could be fed the feed and which couldn't. Also would have liked to see a larger area for the bears, but everything seemed well kept and happy.
